The UK-wide network for Romanian health professionals
BritRoMed Connect is a UK-wide professional network for Romanian clinicians, academics, researchers and health professionals.
We bring together people working across the NHS, universities, research institutes, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health, biomedical science, private practice, health technology and medical innovation.
Our purpose is simple: to raise the profile of Romanian health professionals in the UK, strengthen careers, support mentoring, build trusted professional connections and create constructive links between the UK and Romania.
Why we exist
Romanian health professionals make a significant contribution across the United Kingdom. They work in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, universities, companies and public institutions. Many are highly skilled and well established, but the community remains dispersed and under-connected.
BritRoMed Connect provides a professional home for this community.
It is a place to be visible, to find colleagues, to share expertise, to support younger members, to build collaborations and to speak with greater clarity where shared professional interests exist.
UK–Romania professional mobility
Brexit changed the practical relationship between the UK and Romania in professional recognition and mobility.
For clinicians and health professionals trained or working in the UK, recognition in Romania can be more complex than before. UK training, CCT, consultant experience, academic seniority and professional standing do not always translate easily into Romanian administrative processes.
BritRoMed Connect approaches these issues constructively: through evidence, member experience, professional standards and institutional dialogue.

Visibility
Romanian professionals in the UK should be easier to find, recognise and connect. BritRoMed Connect helps members raise their professional profile through events, directories, speaking opportunities, publications, leadership features and institutional introductions.
Accountability
Representation must be earned. We build legitimacy through membership, participation, transparent governance and useful work.
Governance and trust
BritRoMed Connect is a member-led, professionally governed network.
It operates with clear membership rules, transparent governance, professional moderation, data protection, conflict-of-interest safeguards and an opt-in member directory.
We do not claim to represent every Romanian health professional in the UK. Representation is built through membership, mandate, trust and consistent delivery.
Who can join
BritRoMed Connect is open to Romanian and Romanian-origin professionals in the UK working or training in healthcare, academia, research, education, health technology and related fields.
This includes doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, allied health professionals, clinical academics, researchers, students, health-tech professionals, mentors, senior leaders and institutional partners.
Constructive allies committed to UK–Romania health collaboration are also welcome.
